Indian Spicy Chicken Curry
A simple and a delicious dish made by fresh chicken and spices. Its so simple but it has an amazing burst of flavors and aroma of spices. It goes well with rice and breads like appam, chapati, parotta etc.

Ingredients:
- 1 kg Chicken
Marination:
- 1/2 teaspoon Turmeric Powder
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 1 teaspoon Pepper powder
- 4 medium onion
- 1 green chili
- 1 tablespoon garlic
- 1 tablespoon ginger
- 4 tablespoon coriander powder
- 2 tablespoon Kashmiri chili powder
- 1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1 teaspoon fennel powder
- 1 teaspoon garam masala powder ( pepper, cardamom, fennel etc.)
- Curry leaves
- 2 tomato( medium)
- 1 3/4 cup water
- Chopped coriander leaves
- 3 tablespoon coconut oil or vegetable oil.
- salt
- 2 small Cinnamon stick
- 2 cardamom
- 3 cloves
- 4 shallots
- 1 teaspoon pepper powder
Instructions:
- Clean the chicken and marinate with listed ingredients for marination and keep aside for 30 minutes.
- Slice onion into small pieces so that it will be cooked easily.
- In a pan add oil and heat , then add cinnamon stick, cardamom, cloves .
- After 1 minute add shallots, grated ginger and garlic, sliced chili and sauté until it become light brown.
- Then add onion and curry leaves. Add salt that helps to cook onion fast.
- Sauté it until its brown color.
- Once its sautéed well add turmeric powder, chili powder, pepper, coriander powder, garam masala, fennel powder and sauté. Add oil if needed to fry powders.
- Cut tomato into small pieces and add .
- Sauté for 5 minutes on medium flame, until tomatoes are cooked.
- Add water and allow to boil and add salt if needed. Then add the marinated chicken . Stir till chicken pieces are well coated.
- Cover and cook until the chicken is done ( around 25 minutes).
- Add coriander leaves( if u like it) . Boil gravy as consistency needed.
